Pooled vs Individual inventory
Pooled and Individual control how containers are shown, not how they are stored. Set this after you convert to Standard Inventory.
You only see Inventory view after your team is on Standard Inventory. If Admin still shows Dumpsters, you have not converted yet.
Set the view
- Go to Admin → Inventory Method. Confirm Standard Inventory is marked Active.
- Find Inventory view. Help text: Choose how containers are shown. This is a display preference only. Switching it never moves or changes a single container.
- Choose Pooled or Individual.
Pooled
Count-based buckets. Drivers pick any can of that size. The system assigns an available container.
On Containers: Pool tracking. Your fleet by size and type counts. Drivers pick "any 20yd" and the system grabs an available can.
Individual
Every container by name. Drivers pick a specific can.
On Containers: Individual tracking. Every container in your fleet, named and tracked one by one. Drivers pick a specific can on every haul.
What drivers do
Pooled
- Set or delivery: Start Haul. The system allocates a container.
- Pull or pickup: Start Haul.
Individual
- Set or delivery: pick Container, then Start Haul.
- Pull or pickup: pick Container to Pull.
