Inventory

Hauler was built to help you never lose a dumpster, and provides an affordable and easy to track the location of your dumpster across customer Locations and Yards.

Hauler's inventory management is built to provide value without additional data entry or list tracking.

Using the inputs from Office and Driver workers, Hauler automatically tracks overall dumpster counts and the available number of dumpster available for sale at any point in time.

Hauler provides both Basic Inventory Management and Advanced Inventory Management, which provides additional features to better track your assets.

Basic Inventory Management

Inventory starts with the initial type and quantity of dumpsters set for your team, and this is adjusted on a day-to-day basis using a combination of your Locations and Hauls.

See our article on Adding Dumpsters, which is the foundation for Inventory Management in Hauler

The quantity for each dumpster size determines the maximum available number of dumpsters. This is called the Total for each dumpster size.

Generally speaking, Hauls add or subtract from the Total number of containers as follows:

  • Delivery hauls subtract a dumpster from the Total
  • Pickup hauls add a dumpster back to the Total

This basic tracing mechanism provides availability for your dumpsters using your Active Locations and Pending or Scheduled hauls.
