Inventory

Inventory tracks what you have at facilities, in transit, and at customer locations. You are on Legacy Inventory until your Team Admin updates your team to Standard Inventory. This article explains each, as well as how to identify which version of Inventory your team is currently using.

If Admin shows Dumpsters, you are on Legacy Inventory. If it shows Containers, you are on Standard Inventory.

How to tell

  1. Open Admin.
  2. Dumpsters and Pricing means Legacy Inventory.
  3. Containers, Price Sheets, and Service Areas means Standard Inventory.
  4. After Hauler enables Standard Inventory, Inventory Method also appears. Open it. The Standard Inventory card shows NEW before you convert and Active after.

What conversion changes

  • AdminDumpsters becomes Containers.
  • AdminPricing becomes Price Sheets and Service Areas.
  • Hauls, quotes, and locations use Container instead of dumpster size.
  • Conversion is permanent. There is no revert.

What does not change

  • The sidebar still says Inventory. The page is still Yard Inventory.
  • Pooled vs Individual is a display preference. Switching it does not move containers.
  • End customers do not get an inventory screen.
  • Enabling Standard Inventory does not change Dispatch, Driver, or Yard until you convert. There is no self-serve flag in Company Details.
