Use routes

Use Routes for recurring or front-load style work. Generate Route Instances from a template. Drivers finish stops from Driver Routes. If Routes is missing or 404s, ask Hauler support.


Dispatch is the day's hauls and tasks. Routes is Services to Route Templates to Route Instances to stops. Do not assign Dispatch hauls onto a route. Stops are Services. Drivers always see Dispatch. They see Routes only when the feature is on.

Set up

  1. Open Routes. The page title is Routes Management.
  2. Click Manage Services, then Create Service.
  3. Click Manage Templates, then Create Route Template. Fill Template Name, check Active template (can generate route instances) if this template should generate instances, then click Create Template.
  4. Open the template, click Add Stop, search services, and select a service. Use Quick Add, or Customize to add Custom Notes.

There is no Create Route or Generate Routes button on the Routes Management dashboard. Generate lives on Route Instances. There is no Assign Haul control.

Generate and run

  1. Open Route Instances. Use View All from Today's Route Instances, or open it from the templates page.
  2. Click Generate Routes ({n} days). While it runs, the button says Generating....
  3. Open the instance and click Assign Driver. Use Unassign Driver to clear it.
  4. Click Start Route. Work Route Stops. Click Add Stop to add a service. Drag to reorder until the route is completed.
  5. Click Complete Route. Use Reopen Route or Cancel Route if you need those instead.

Completed instances lock stops. On AdminRoutesSettings, you can auto-generate instances, allow drivers to reorder, and require photos. Click Save Settings. Routes is not turned on from a Company Details toggle. Routes has no Board / List / Map selector.

Driver Routes

  1. Open Routes in the driver sidebar. The list title is Driver Routes.
  2. Open the assigned route. Tap Start Route. For navigation from the start, use Start Route & Navigate, then Start & Navigate.
  3. On a stop, tap Complete. Confirm in Complete Stop. If you cannot complete it, tap Exception, then fill Exception Reason and Notes (optional).
  4. If Admin allows it, tap Reorder, then Done.
  5. After every stop is done, tap Complete Route. Confirm: Complete this route? All stops must be completed first.
