Use Date Notes on Dispatch

Date Notes are day-level notes on Dispatch. Use them for anything the office needs to remember about that calendar day, not about one haul. The document icon in the dispatch toolbar shows whether the selected day already has notes, so you do not have to open filters on every date to check.

See if a day has notes

  1. Click Dispatch. The board shows the selected day. Use the date field or arrows to change days.
  2. Look at the document icon in the toolbar (near the filters control).
  3. A dark icon with a blue dot means that day has Date Notes. Hover or tap the icon to preview the note text.
  4. A light gray icon means that day has no Date Notes yet.

Clicking the document icon opens the same filter panel as the adjustments control.

Add or edit Date Notes

  1. On Dispatch, pick the day you want.
  2. Click the document icon (Date notes) or the adjustments (filters) icon to open the panel.
  3. In the Date Notes field, type or edit the note for that day.
  4. Click Save Date Notes.

The blue-dot indicator updates for that day after you save. Changing the date on the board shows that day's notes and indicator.

Note: Date Notes belong to the calendar day on Dispatch.
