How customers pay
The customer opens the payment link from the invoice email or text and pays on a public Hauler page. They pick card or ACH on Adyen's hosted checkout, not in Hauler.
They need a payment link from a Standard Invoicing invoice. See Create and send an invoice.
- The customer opens the payment link. The page title is Invoice {invoice_number}. The URL looks like
/pay/invoices/{public_id}. - They review Amount due, then click Pay {balance}. Example: Pay $289.00. It is not labeled Pay Now.
- Adyen opens secure checkout. The customer picks card or ACH there. Hauler has no card-versus-ACH toggle and no saved-card screen.
While Adyen confirms, the page shows We're confirming your payment and This page will update automatically once it's complete. No need to pay again.
On success: Payment received, This invoice has been paid in full. Amount due becomes Amount paid. The chip shows Paid. In Hauler the invoice status becomes Paid.
The page also shows Invoice from {team}, Secure, Secure checkout via Adyen, Summary, Billed to, and Questions about this invoice? Contact {team}.
If the link is dead, the page shows This payment link has expired. See Payment failed or pay link expired.
